ESWC optakt: Interview med Simon ‘Erikzzon’ Eriksson

I morgen starter en af verdens største Fifa turneringer i storbyen Paris. Dette event dækker Sports-Gaming.dk selvfølgelig både direkte fra Frankrig samt herhjemme i Danmark. Vi starter herhjemme eller i Sverige kan man næsten kalde det, hvor vi har snakket med den svenske mester fra Tricked eSport, Simon ‘Erikzzon’ Eriksson, der deltager til det uofficielle verdensmesterskab. Her er han blandt andet kommet i gruppe med sidste års vinder, Navid Borhani.

First of all, I would like to hear about how you feel before this huge tournament – Are you prepared?

“I’m feeling good going in to ESWC, it will be the biggest stage i’ve played at in my career so far. But i’m feeling good, and won’t let the nerves affect my performance.”

What are you expectations and goals in Paris?

“My goal is always to be the best. You can’t go in to a tournament hoping to get past the group stage, you have believe in yourself and in your own abilities.”

Which teams did you pick, and why?

“I have only chosen three teams at this point in time. Those are Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern. You have to have Real in your team selection, they are still the best, just not as dominant. Chelsea is probably my #1 team, they feel like a complete team with players like Remy, Ramires and Hazard. They have great defensive line aswell.Bayern has the ratings, every single player has a high rating. When the opportunities come they will socre on them.”

Do you think your group is the toughest of them all?

“I actually think all the groups are pretty even, every group in this type of tournament will be tough.”

As you are represents a Danish team, we’ll like to wish you good luck – Are Tricked going to win ESWC?

“Thank you! Hopefully we will, I’ll do anything for it to happen.”
